Jewellery and Silversmithing Short Courses

We are delighted to offer a regular selection of short courses for members of the public at our dedicated workshops in Buscot. Join us for a one or two day course, held at our new home within the National Trust’s Heritage & Rural Skills Centre, and discover the art of silver jewellery-making and silversmithing.
 

We also offer gift vouchers which are a unique way to gift a craft-experience – the recipient will not only enjoy a great day out but will also make a silver item which is theirs to keep as a permanent reminder of the day.

You will design and make a silver bangle, employing specialist techniques to design and make your jewellery. 

You will gain knowledge of designing, forming and finishing your bracelet using a variety of silversmithing methods and hand tools.

You will design and make a set of silver stacker rings, employing specialist techniques to design and make your jewellery.

Our experienced tutor will teach you how to transform a sheet of silver into a set of rings. You will gain knowledge of designing, forming and finishing your rings using a variety of silversmithing methods and hand tools.

Christmas Gift in a Day

You will design and make a silver Christmas gift for a loved one, employing specialist techniques to design and make your gift.  It could be a pair of earrings or cufflinks, a pendant, a keyring – the choice is yours.

During the session, you will gain knowledge of designing, forming and finishing your silver item using a variety of silversmithing methods and hand tools.

Christmas Decoration in a Day

29 November 2025

You will design and make a silver Christmas decoration employing specialist techniques. 

The various stages of transforming your silver into a captivating decoration will be explained and demonstrated by our expert tutor.

At the end of the workshop, your festive decoration will be yours to keep!
