Yiwei Huang

Yiwei Huang is a UK-based contemporary jewellery artist working primarily with metal. Her practice responds to the quiet, often unspoken desire to be accepted as we are and to feel genuinely connected to others. 

Through jewellery and crafted objects, Huang reflects on contemporary attitudes towards the body, relationships, and the ways in which technology mediates human connection. She challenges ideals of physical perfection and notions of connection built around convenience and distance, creating work that brings attention back to the body, the everyday, and the people around us.

Grounded in traditional jewellery-making techniques, her practice embraces the time, tactility, and traces of the hand inherent in making. Minimal and poetic, her objects often combine warmth and gentle humour to create moments of reflection, encounter, and connection.
