Seungjoo Mun

Seungjoo is a contemporary jeweller and silversmith from South Korea, based in the UK. She graduated with a first-class honours degree from the Birmingham City University School of Jewellery.

Her work is rooted in a sculptural approach to making, exploring the hidden structures that give form its meaning — the frameworks beneath the surface, the invisible forces that hold objects together. Working primarily in silver, she is drawn to the tension between material and body: the way silver appears cold in isolation, but transforms the moment it meets skin.

She is interested in making the invisible visible, developing work that traces the relationship between skeletal structure and organic movement, strength and delicacy.
