Rebecca is the creator of Benchpeg a website and weekly newsletter which supports the UK jewellery sector.
Previous appointments have included the design and delivery of the £18M Goldsmiths’ Centre; the delivery of the ERDF funded £3.5M Jewellery Sector Investment Plan (JSIP) for London Borough of Camden in Hatton Garden; the management of the Goldsmiths’ Fair at the Goldsmiths’ Company; in addition to sector specific jewellery industry consultancy.
Voluntary positions include current participation in the UK Jewellery Sector Roundtable facilitated by the NAJ to lobby for the UK Jewellery, Silverware and Allied Crafts; an 8.5 year tenure on the Communications and Marketing Committee; a tenure on the Goldsmiths’ Fair Advisory Group (Chair); the EDI Working Group; the Communications Sounding Board; the Selection Committee for the Goldsmiths’ Directory at the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. A retired elected Committee Member of the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council, a business mentor for the Crafts Council, and has sat on many selection panels, competition awards panels and has acted as an industry ambassador for many jewellery industry events.
Rebecca holds a First Class honours degree in Jewellery from the School of Jewellery Birmingham, an MA in Arts Management and a Level 6 Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She has Chartered Marketer status.
Rebecca was elected Livery status by the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths for her contribution to industry and is a Freeman of the City of London. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in recognition for her contribution to the jewellery industry.
