Inspired by the beauty and movement of hidden mechanical components, Sophie’s tactile, kinetic, and inlaid constructions offer an interactive jewellery experience. She is very much concerned with the making process itself, and interpreting traditional hand techniques in a contemporary way.

Today, Sophie runs her own business, The Ring Atelier, and creates simple, rustic wedding rings, perfectly imperfect, marked by the hand and with her signature exposed join, signifying the partnership of two people. She also holds ring-making masterclasses.
