Naomi Scott

Bishopsland Fellow 2017-2018

A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art BA (Hons) in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design, Naomi Scott is a contemporary designer specialising in silversmithing with modern, unconventional approaches to silverware design.

Her work is inspired by her fascination with imitating fabric-like qualities of draped material into objects and silverware. The exploration of this concept, as well as creating her own tools and formers has been an essential advancement of the translation of her designs into final pieces.

In 2015, Naomi won the Incorporation of Goldsmiths ‘Outstanding Student of the Year Award’. She worked with established Silversmith Grant McCaig to create a large commission for display in Goldsmiths Hall in Edinburgh.

Naomi is currently working as an Interior Design Consultant & Corporate Buyer.
