Joanna Butler
Bishopsland Fellow 1993-1994
Joanna Butler trained as a jewellery designer at the Epsom School of Art and Glasgow School of Art, followed by a residency at Bishopsland in 1993-1994. In 1998 she set up @ Work Gallery with her then studio colleague Adele Tipler.
Joanna still makes and sells her own range of jewellery and works to commission from her workshop at the Pimlico Gallery.
She has many years teaching experience at several London Colleges as well as privately run courses at @ Work. In recent years, Joanna’s career has diversified and now involves gallery management, making commissions, selling, repairing, mentoring, teaching and offering jewellery residencies to recent graduates in the @ Work workshops.
