Alex enjoys creating beauty by hammering a piece of silver. He is driven by being part of the craft of making something meaningful and beautiful out of precious metal.

The first time he fell in love with swinging a hammer was when he tried some blacksmithing during middle school. The joy he discovered in making things formed his plan for a future career.

Alex went to the trade school in Schoonhoven in the Netherlands, which has been training goldsmiths and silversmiths for over 125 years. It was here that he fell in love with silver and the possibilities the metal offered in terms of design and craftsmanship.
