This brooch looks through tree branches where a squirrel runs up the trunk, birds perch, and insects fly – including one flying tanzanite! Gold highlights suggest sunlight catching the edges of the trees.

Katie’s work is an interpretation of nature’s beauty. Her making process starts with a walk, and from this, she draws anything that has captured her imagination. Her drawings are directly transferred onto metal using the technique of chasing and repoussé allowing her to recreate every desired detail and produce a wonderland of nature in a unique piece of silverware or jewellery.
