This Christmas bauble, titled Presence, is part of the Perspectives collection.
Created using minimal wire forms suspended within a circular frame, the piece reflects on the act of being truly present — not only during the holiday season, but in everyday life.
The structure suggests both fragility and intentionality, reminding us that presence is not just about physical space, but about attention, connection, and awareness. The interplay of lines and open space invites the viewer to consider what is seen, what is felt, and what is quietly held in between.
Chamine Ghuss
Bishopsland Fellow 2023-2025
Chamine’s work explores themes of remembrance, personal statements, and reminiscence.
Narrative and compositional elements are central to her visual language, with each piece offering a story that unfolds through form, material, and arrangement. Her collections are contemplative triggers, inviting reflection and evoking deeply personal interpretations. These are sentimental perspectives: artistic expressions shaped by the psychology of nostalgia and the ephemeral nature of memory.
