We’re seeking an inspiring Chair of Trustees to lead a dynamic board at the forefront of preserving and promoting the heritage craft of Silversmithing across the UK.

About Us:

Bishopsland Educational Trust is an internationally recognised charity dedicated to the training and education of emerging makers in the heritage craft of silversmithing. We are a long standing charity with a proven 30-year track record, having mentored and trained over 250 emerging silversmiths.

You’ll Bring:

 Proven leadership and governance experience
A passion for heritage, culture, or craft (personal or professional)
A belief in the power of skills to unlock opportunities
 Strong strategic vision and collaborative spirit
 Experience chairing meetings and engaging stakeholders

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the Board of Trustees and support the Chief Executive & Principal

• Guide the charity’s strategic direction

• Act as an ambassador for the charity within and beyond the heritage sector

• Help shape sustainable growth and long-term impact
