Plus award wins from our current cohort and Fellows
Congratulations to all the participants and winners at the Goldsmiths Craft and Design Awards 2025.
The ceremony, held in the beautiful Goldsmiths’ Hall, acknowledges outstanding talent and craftsmanship in goldsmithing, jewellery, silversmithing and the allied trades. The competition is judged and awarded by craft and industry peers and has rightly earned its reputation as a portent of talent in our sector.
We are delighted to announce that Bishopsland won Gold in the College Trophy Award, building on our Silver Prize last year. This is testament to the leadership, inspirational tutoring and commitment of our Principal, Angela Cork, and Jonathan Stokes, Workshop Coordinator. It was an honour to be placed alongside our long term partner, The Goldsmiths’ Centre. Thanks must also go to our corporate and charitable supporters, whose abiding faith and financial support as we invest in our facilities and vocational skills training programme cannot be under-estimated.

We’d like to call out special recognition to our Workshop Coordinator, Jonathan Stokes, for wins at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, including Gold award in the 3D Finished Piece Design sponsored by The Clothworkers Company. Jonathan was awarded 4 months training on the South House Trust Scholarship, an extremely valuable in-depth extension for early-in-career makers.
Angela Cork, Principal of Bishopsland:
“It was a huge honour to collect the Gold College Award, which reflects the hard work of our team, the commitment of our Trustees and supporters, and most importantly, the successes of our talented makers. It is a privilege as Principal to lead our vocational skills training programme and to work alongside such gifted and ambitious emerging silversmiths and jewellers. I cannot thank the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council, Betts Metals and the judges enough for this valuable recognition. I send my best wishes to all who entered the competition and congratulations to those who won.”
