Abigail Brown

Masterclass Tutor

Abigail Brown has been creating contemporary designs in silver since 2001.  Her work is inspired by cherished observations of the land and explores both functional and domestic scale sculptural pieces. Her workshop has been based in the beautiful landscape of Cornwall for over twenty years which contributes constant artistic and spiritual insights. 

She has exhibited internationally at venues including the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Saatchi Gallery, Goldsmiths’ Hall and the German Goldsmiths’ House in Hanau.  Her silverware is widely collected and is included in the public collection of National Museum Wales in Cardiff. She is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths’ and she has been granted the Freedom of the City of London.

Abigail has many years of experience as a tutor having taught at Falmouth University, Truro College, West Dean College, and Bishopsland. She played a vital role in the development of the Skills Training Program for Contemporary British Silversmiths.  She teaches and mentors around the country including from her workshop in Cornwall
