Caitlin Murphy

Bishopsland Fellow 2022-2024

Caitlin Murphy is an award-winning Northern Irish maker. She graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2022 with a First Class Honours degree and received the Richard H Arrol Memorial Prize. Caitlin became a Fellow of Bishopsland Educational Trust in 2023 following on from her year long postgraduate course.

In 2023, Caitlin exhibited at Goldsmiths Fair in London and Elements Fair in Edinburgh, having secured Future Makers Graduate Exhibition Support from the Design and Crafts Council in Ireland.

The South Square Trust also supported Caitlin for the past two years as she focused on designing and making silversmithing objects. She prides herself on attention to detail, from initial design to finished piece.

Caitlin received a bronze and silver award in the ‘3D Finished Pieces’ category at the Goldsmiths Craft and Design Council Awards for her Illusion Cube.
