Rachel Hewison

Bishopsland Fellow 2016-2017

Rachel is a silversmith and jeweller. Throughout her time at university, she gained a love of fantasy and storytelling, along with a love for hand-making techniques such as engraving, chasing, and forging. Rachel combines these techniques to make products that are unusual and eye-catching. She is particularly interested in mythology and the images used throughout history to depict it: these ideas are drawn from the world around us, but are embellished and changed by our imagination.
