Max’s work is concerned with perception; visual and cultural, the space between the object and our perception of it, the gaps in our perception, and how we fill them. Drawing is central to his work. The drawn line is expanded three-dimensionally, creating a reversal of the traditional perspective; a two-dimensional surface is represented as a three-dimensional object.
