Working with universally recognizable objects as my influence, I select mass-produced objects created to cater to our culture’s demand for fast-paced development – forms that I consider to be heavily entwined with perceptions of social class and worth.

I use this stimulus to manipulate the aesthetic characteristics of these objects within fine jewellery; to display qualities (both desirable and hostile) and represent themes of a violent and sexualized subconscious hiding beneath the facade of normal society and the flawed nature of the complex human condition.
