Inspired by a love of exploring ancient places and reading fantasy novels, Sarah infuses themes of abstract imagination and curiosity into her silversmithing. Her work uses complex forms and tactility to create functional yet dreamlike objects, rich in detail and mystery.

The enjoyment in the making process is central to her practice, and every piece is entirely handcrafted using traditional metalworking techniques such as raising, repoussé and soldering. She believes that the marks left by a human hand give it a heart, and the marks it gains during a lifetime of use gives it a soul.
